Work with exhibiting artist Fiona West and create both a Thaumatrope and a Zoetrobe. Both are early animation devices where a sequence
of static images are spun to give the illusion of a moving image.
The thaumatrope is a disc or card with a picture on each side that is attached to two pieces of string or elastic band. A Zoetrobe displays a sequence of drawings in a circular format showing progressive phases of that object, giving the illusion of movement when spun.
