 To mark the Children’s Week (21 – 29 October 2023) and as part of the Big Voices: Children’s Art Matters – Woodridge State School focused public program, Dr Barbara Piscitelli AM will be doing a talk at the Living Museum of Logan, Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct. Dr Barbara, founder of Big Voices: Children’s Art Matters projects will be joined by some of the participants of Big Voices: Children’s Art Matters projects. This panel talk will be on Saturday 28 of October 2023, 2-3 pm.

About the speakers:
Dr Barabara Piscitelli AM founded the Children's Art Archives in 1986. Since then, she has systemically collected and documented over 2000 children's artworks from urban and rural Australia, China and Vietnam.
Dr Nicola Hooper is a Logan based award winning artist and art educator. Dr Hooper was one of the artists in residence during the making of One Sun, One World-Many Dreams (Series 14) in 2016.
Bev Rolfe is a Woodridge State School arts teacher and has worked with Woodridge State School child artists on Big Voices Children's Art Matters series 1, 14, 15 and 16.
Katty Okeny was an 11-years-old at Woodridge State School when she did the painting The Right to Clean Water as part of Big Voices: Children's Art Matter- Children Have Rights Projects (series 15) in 2013.
