If you’d like to brush up on your slam skills before taking the stage, Angela Peita will give you some tips and tricks and get you ready to rock the mic. Angela Peita is a spoken word artist, youth worker, workshop facilitator and live art producer. She is co-founder and co-director of Ruckus Slam, the hugely popular Brisbane slam and arts company. Presented by Logan City Council Libraries and Queensland Poetry. Australian Poetry Slam is an initiative of Word Travels.For ages 16 and above.

The Logan Heat Poetry Slam will be held at Extraction Artisan Coffee on Thursday 21 September, 6.30pm to 9pm. Bookings for the Logan Heat at Extraction Artisan Coffee are essential for contestants and audience members.
Bookings are suggested. Where an event has not been fully booked, walk-ins may be permitted.
